What we store, how it's protected, and exactly what happens if you ever leave. No legal boilerplate. The detailed policy lives in our docs and we're happy to share it.

What we store

Exactly what you give the product, and nothing else:

  • Your site content: the text, photos, videos, music links, and show dates you enter, stored as plain files in the open SiteValet format (so it can never be held hostage).
  • Your media: uploaded images, artwork, and audio files, kept safe in more than one copy. Your site only changes when you do, so a restore point is saved every time you save a change.
  • Your account: your email address and password (stored in a scrambled form; we can never see it).
  • Billing status: whether your plan is active. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store them.

We don't track your visitors for advertising, we don't sell data, and there is no third-party ad code on your site or ours.

Your data is yours. Take it any time

In your dashboard, Export & backup gives you a full ZIP: your content, every photo and song file, and a standalone copy of your site that opens in any browser, even completely off SiteValet. Unlimited, free, included in your plan. No cancellation required, no exit interview.

Backups, automatic: every time you change something

Your site is pure presentation: no database, nothing running behind the scenes. It only changes when you edit it. So instead of wasteful scheduled copies, we save a restore point every time you hit Save, keeping the last 30 states. Delete something by mistake? We can put it back. Ask us, or put it back yourself from your dashboard.

Nothing disappears quietly, and you'll always get email before anything changes:

At the end of any window your content is deleted and your address let go so someone else can use it, but first we make a final export and email you the link, kept for 30 days. Reactivating during the window is one click and everything comes back.

Emails we send

Only ones about your account and your site: welcome, "your site is live," the first-save confirmation, payment issues with clear dates, and the keep-or-delete reminders above. No newsletters, no "we miss you" email series, no marketing blasts. If we ever add anything promotional it will be a separate email you choose to turn on.

Questions

Ask anything: [email protected]. A person reads every message. If you want the full technical details (how long things are kept, how deletion works, how the service is built), just ask and we'll send them.
